  • Remove the trim panel: Use a trim removal tool or a screwdriver to carefully remove the trim panel that covers the inside of the wing mirror. This panel is typically located on the interior side of the door, and it may be held in place by clips or screws.
  • Locate and remove the bolts: Once the trim panel is removed, you should be able to locate the bolts that secure the wing mirror to the door frame. These bolts may be accessed from the interior side of the door or the exterior side, depending on the specific model of your Transporter T6. Use a socket set or wrench to remove the bolts.

  • Disconnect the mirror wiring (if applicable): If your wing mirror has electrical components, such as heating or turn signal indicators, you may need to disconnect the wiring harness before fully removing the mirror. Carefully unplug the electrical connector and set it aside.
  • Remove the old wing mirror: Once the bolts and wiring (if applicable) are disconnected, gently pull the old wing mirror away from the door frame. Be careful not to force it or damage the paint on the door.

  • Install the new wing mirror: Align the new wing mirror with the mounting holes on the door frame and insert the bolts. Use a socket set or wrench to tighten the bolts securely. If applicable, reconnect the wiring harness for the electrical components.
  • Reinstall the trim panel: Carefully reattach the trim panel that covers the inside of the wing mirror, making sure all clips or screws are properly secured.

  • Reconnect the power source: If you disconnected the power source in step 2, reconnect it by plugging in the electrical connector or reconnecting the battery.
  • Test the wing mirror: Turn on your vehicle and test the wing mirror to ensure it is functioning properly. Adjust the mirror as needed to achieve the desired viewing angle.
