The Nissan Qashqai has been around since 2006 and is one of Nissan’s most popular models, the first generation of the SUV was called released in Australia and in
Japan under the name Dualis. The second generation was released around 2014 and is known everywhere as theĀ Qashqa, other than in the US which it is called theĀ Rogue Sport. The name Qashqai came from an indigenous people living in Iran.
Although launched in 2006 at the Paris motor show, it did not make its UK debut until 2007 Qashqai. TheĀ Qashqai main purpose was to be a replacement for the Nissan Mistral and now their are on average of 40,000 newĀ Qashqai’s on the road every year. TheĀ Qashqai is produced in Sunderland and is only one of two models that comes out of the plant.
Late June 2011 saw the one millionth Quashqai roll out of Sunderland, just over four and a half years after the first one was produced, this monumental landmark made the Quashqai the most popular British built cars. 2009 we saw the first Qashqai+2 models hit the streets, the new larger body 7 seater soon became the car to have for larger families. The Nissan Qashqai is very environmentally friendly cars on the road, or at least within Nissan stable of cars. The Qashqai CO2 emissions less than 130g /km and a combined fuel consumption of 57.6mpg.
