Removal
- Remove rear bumper cover.

- Unscrew nuts -2-.
- Unscrew bolts -3-.
- With aid of second mechanic, detach bumper carrier -1- by unscrewing bolts -4-
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following.
- Observe specified tightening sequence for bolts 1 to 4.
- If the rear bumper carrier has been modified, it may be necessary to perform additional work on the rear cross panel.
- Extend recess in cross panel -1- in area indicated by -arrowby 10 mm.

- If removed beforehand, install towing bracket .
- Install rear bumper cover.
