For Sale … 1969 Triumph Bonneville T120R, fully restored by Dave Wedlake … $16,500
DOWNLOAD MANUAL
A major goal we established early on is that we prefer high quality original bikes in our collection to restored machines whenever possible. Finding original machines worthy of entry in our collection has been difficult to say the least. In fact, we have only a few … our 1959 Bonneville, our 1970 TR6R, our 1983 TSS and a few others.
A secondary goal in our collection is to have only one machine representing each model and year. In the past, we have sold several Triumphs from our collection whenever we obtained another machine that we felt better represented that model and year. Most recently, we sold the 1968 Bonneville from our collection that will be replaced soon by another ’68 T120R that we have under restoration.
We are now offering for sale our beautiful 1969 Dave Wedlake restored 1969 T120R Bonneville because we have recently obtained a terrific 100% ORIGINAL 1969 Triumph T120R Bonneville for our collection. That wonderful bike will be the subject of an upcoming posting once we get it fully detailed and snap pictures for our photo album.
Here are pictures and the details of the 1969 Bonneville we are now offering for sale. More pictures can can be found in the photo album.
• 100% restoration in 2007 by Dave Wedlake. Zero miles on the bike … it is just like new from the factory.
• Beautiful, meticulous and accurate Olympic Flame paint job true to the original factory color. (Getting that color wrong is evidently very easy. We have seen significant variations on restored ’69 T120Rs over the years … some too coppery and others tinted more toward red than orange. This one is right on.) Note: there were three tank paint variations on the 1969 Bonneville including two with scallops and one without. Since ours is an early ’69 T120R (engine numbers started with DU85904 and ours is DU86054), it had the non-scalloped Olympic Flame tank with 2” silver center stripe, pin stripped in white.
• Rare and correct dual “hockey puck” horns that 1969 T120Rs were equipped with.
• The price is $16,500 and the bike is located in Phoenix, Arizona.
