  1. things sure have changed since I first got into riding. back in the day, a bike that did a sub 4 second 0-60 and had a top end of over 150mph was most definitely not considered “entry level” lol.

    Shiver gets my vote.

    @socolax91 These are absolutely entry level bikes for the right rider. Take someone who has been riding dirt bikes for years and decides to get into street riding. These are perfect bikes. In addition, an entry level bike is not necessarily a starter bike. Ninja 250s are starter bikes. SV650s, ninja 650s etc. would all be considered entry level. They have predictable, manageable power that the rider will not outgrow in 2 months.

  3. Just one question, Where is this music from??? I would love to have it

  4. This Video made me Get A Ducati Monster 696. I absolutely love it!!!

  5. Thanks for posting, I dedicate this one to Wickedman6 who rides a Harley. It’s the Monster for me.

    @dkparamore1

    I agree completely. Attitude and maturity are the biggest reasons new riders crash. As long as the new rider respects the bike and rides safely, there is no problem.

  7. @sightandsoundevents – these are in no way entry level bikes… try a GS500 or Ninja 500 as a starter

    Good to see a comparison on something other than the latest liter bikes or 600s. For an entry level rider, with deep pockets, these are both great choices. Upgrade the suspension and you have some very fun trackday tools.

  9. @dkparamore1 BTW…I have since switched to sport/touring bikes for the power and fun. The Harley is a shiny, noisy turd. I am riding a Aprilia RST 1000 Futura now.

  10. @htedrom No. I Learned to ride on my Dad’s Harley Softail Custom. Its an 800 pound machine and didn’t drop it once. Buy what you want and learn to ride it. No need to buy a “beginner bike”.

  11. I’m 6ft 5in and I love the Ducati but it’s to small….. =(

  12. AWESOME!!!!! LOVE THE DUCATI!!!!!

    750 cc’s a beginnerbike?

  14. @thomaslejon …Does’nt exist an 800 S4R…There’s an S2R 800…S4R is 996 “TestaLarga” and S4Rs is 998″Testastretta”…I own both of them….

    over-priced Italian bikes are so good… that’s why the best Italian MotoGP rider in the world wins riding a YAMAHA.

    Because it’s bigger the Aprilia is a “real bike” and the Ducati is a beginner’s toy? What an ass. I’m sure he also fails to realize that that big hideous radiator and plumbing as well as the excessive gagetry keep the Aprilia from being truly “naked” in the first place.
