Covers the 1976 Kawasaki KZ650. This is one segment from the restored video player ” Kawasaki Good Times Theatre”. The Good Times Theatre video players were used at Kawasaki dealerships in the 1970′s for customer viewing on the showrooms. This restored video features great Kawasaki moments from the mid to late 1970′s. Audio quality on the restored video is fair, but clearly understandable. This is a great piece of Motorcycle History. Hope you enjoy it.

You are right though, in fifth it feels like it wants to start to rattle, so you dont really wanna go too much faster…
Man, I love my ’80. The only downside is 5600 RPM @ 70 MPH…
dude this guys is talking SO SLOW!
heya sponge.my buds GS is jetted,and piped(so is mine).stock 1/4 mile on a 77 GS750 is 12.78,my 78 KZ650 is 13.30 or so(i prob can pull a flat 13 now,but hes prob at 12.50).1st thru 2nd gear we’re even,as the gears go up he slowly leaves me.
nice original vid.I own a 78′KZ650 model that won’t take my buddys 77′suzuki GS750.I love my KZ anyways.

The presentation of the kz650 kawasaki, must of the time!!!!
Great stuff
God kawasaki owned back in the day…
yo tengo una del 79´ y es un caño.
I have a 78 kz 650 also, u must not have it properly tunned. The KZ should own your buddy’s GS
gotta agree, great stuff. i own a 1980 ltd 650, great ride, only complaint is no 6th gear, thing would be flawless with a 6th gear always feel like your running a bit high, but it does go when you want it to. love it.
My buddy’s KZ650 gave my 750 honda a run for the money.
@djsponge03
Despite what you said, and what the video says “outperforms any body else’s 650 OR 750″ the GS750 will in fact put a hurt on a KZ650, and not only in a straight line. The GS750 was released in 1977 (except for a few early 76s), after this video was made. The GS750 blew the competition out of the water.
This guy sounds like xerxes off of south park.
but neway. I have a chance to buy a 1977 kz650 not running for $250. Good deal or no? Nething to look for when buying it? Thanks for any help.
